ABOUT  US

B.EC's got your back, fellow Badass Creators! We're all about giving meaningful support to Black, BIPOC, and awesome creators like you.

GOAL

To steer you toward sustainable success in your careers, lifting you up and empowering you. We're plugged into the latest and greatest in the industry, diversifying our info streams and teaming up with pros who get the ever-changing needs of arts, and media professions.

We're here to see YOU thrive in a real, impactful way.

Inclusivity

Historically, Black/POC individuals have faced systemic barriers and exclusion within the professional arts industry. Creating an inclusive environment is essential for providing equitable opportunities, a sense of belonging, and ensuring that all voices are heard and valued. We are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where Black/POC individuals feel empowered to explore their creativity, express their unique perspectives, and contribute to a diverse cultural landscape.

It is our mission to have that environment also reflect the day to day life in our industry. We embrace and celebrate the rich diversity of backgrounds, cultures, and experiences within the Black/POC creative community, creating a space where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered.

Education

We prioritize education and skill development, offering comprehensive training programs, workshops, and mentorship opportunities that equip Black/POC creatives with the technical expertise, industry knowledge, and professional networks needed to succeed in the art industry.

Access to comprehensive training and educational resources is vital for the professional development and success of Black/POC creatives. Providing quality training programs and mentorship opportunities equips individuals with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to navigate the complexities of the arts industry and pursue their artistic aspirations.

Empowerment

We believe in empowering Black/POC creatives to take control of their artistic journeys, providing them with the tools, resources, and support necessary to turn their visions into reality and amplify their voices on local, national, and international stages. By overcoming barriers we believe that empowerment is the third key step to an industry that will foster diversity and inclusion.

Collaboration

By fostering healthy work environments where partners and participants can leverage their collective strengths and resources to enable a sense of community and collective action. Our two way mentor mentee relationships will enable connection, support, and build bridges between artists, organizations, and communities, to learn from one another.

Social Impact

We are committed to using the power of storytelling and media as a catalyst for social change, addressing pressing issues, raising awareness, and starting dialogue around social justice, equity, and inclusion within our productions and community outreach initiatives. We believe that it is our duty to advocate for systems of change that foster a more inclusive and equitable society within the production industry and arts sector.
